I recently read that we’re in the last quarter of this decade and that really shook me. In general, the end of the year is full of celebrations and closing out or cleaning up at work, so staying on top of our mindsets and to-do list is so important. There’s clearly a palpable shift in energy happening right now and it’s worth some extra time to clarify the process.

This week I created a tarot spread for zooming in to the heart of what’s important before the current of this busy time sweeps us into 2020. Even without cards, sitting with these questions during meditation or a steaming cup of tea can help focus your calendar with what’s truly important.

I created this comprehensive spread to help you consider different areas of your life. You can think of your priorities so that you don’t get swept up in the minutiae of everyday. We’re trying to give everything their time in the spotlight and be OK with less important things falling off our full plates.

      ONE

  • The first card you lay down is for the overall theme and energy of the month. What’s the most important area of your life this month? Where can you narrow your focus to provide the most change with minimal effort?

     TWO

  • Now to focus in even more. Out of all the things you have on your mind related to your work, what is important for these thirty days? What do you need to move forward? What project or idea will bring you the most kudos, the most positivity, and the most advancement?

     THREE

  • Front and center, what will bring you forward in your life and psyche? What will help you restore your energy? What can you focus on to bring balance into your life and let you grow as an individual? What will catapult you towards 2020?

     FOUR

  • For your most important social circle of friends or family, how can you support them? Do you need to spend time with a certain person? Would group bonding be more appropriate? Is a trip in your future? Who would benefit from some attention in the upcoming months?

     FIVE

  • Since we’re focusing so much on the month at hand and adding areas to send our energy towards, we have to let go of some things. Part of moving forward is letting go, so this card can offer insight into what we should leave behind. What’s not serving you anymore? What helped 2019 you, but can be lovingly left behind for your 2020 self to emerge?
